Favor Skiff Cup: long day on the water for all the competitors

Yesterday was a long day on the water for all the competitors.
The northern winds offered good action but also hard times for some of the competitors. The close racing brought up the heat and the teams with the fewer mistakes won.
The qualifications series did not finish thought due to some gear failures and the race committee had to continue with them today.
The races were double windward leeward but the second upwind was on a different buoy that was set further up.
The winner was judged in the maneuvers and the shifty winds inside Cesme harbor made it even more difficult.

From the 16 teams racing in four groups, six of them stood out. Two team from Norway and two from Denmark, one from Germany and one from Turkey.
Team Oslo with Lillan Agerup and Kristin Nyland from Norway dominated at group A.
In Group B there is a tie between the team Gorge Twins of Jule and Lotta Gorge from Germany and the team Prikken Over I Et of Lin Ea Cenhdit Christiansen and Stine Quorning from Denmark. Team Norway of Helene Naess and Ane Gunderson dominate group C and finally in Group D Team All Day Long by Sinem Kurtbay and Hanna Dahlborg are on top.
Today the forecast is for stronger winds around 20 knots and it is going to be even more spectacular and close racing. The teams are getting ready to finish the rest of the Qualification Series and continue with the finals in the afternoon.

Stay tuned to find out who will be the winner of the FAVOR Skiff Cup.
